Seaphoria Review

9:04 PM

Visited Seaphoria for lunch yesterday. Upon arriving, I felt a little bit uncomfortable with their cramped parking lot space, but no worries because they also provide valet service. First, let's look at these photos of the place and its interior.

(First Floor - Seen from parking lot)

Their first floor space is quite good, I quite like their choice of interior design with pastel wood texture on its walls, wood furnitures, and wide glass windows and doors.

I choose to have lunch on the second floor, because the waitress there said it is way more comfortable and wider. Their second floor is divided into 3 big parts. The balcony, the lounge, and the dining area.  Inside the dining area, there are also 3 doors leading to 3 VIP rooms.

The artwork on the wall is really amusing, I also love the way they decorate the lightings.

From the photo above, you can see the wall on the right also have doors leading to the VIP Rooms

I like the squares used as decoration, putting those squares in line with each other please the eyes. (Is it just me?)

Moving on to the food, yaaay! I ordered Escargot and Glaze Prawn Aglio Olio and my dad ordered Beef Gratin. My mom ordered Spicy Tomato Crab, and my Auntie ordered Garlic Parsley Chicken Breast, however, I forgot to take a picture of these two, my apologies. Another apology I have to give is because I don't really know how to cook, nor having the ability to notice an ingredient from tasting only, so my comments on these food might be limited and all these food reviews is based only on an amateur foodie tongue.

(Escargot - Rp. 65.000,-)

The Escargot is very very tasty. It's very soft and savoury, and accompanied with some crunchy bits. The garlic is just perfectly enough, and it doesn't taste too strong, making it tastes very good alone or with the garlic bread.

(Glaze Prawn Aglio Olio - Rp. 38.000,-)

The Aglio Olio, however, did not taste as good as what I imagined it would be. It's basically taste like a spaghetti with some sweet and sour and spicy sauce on top. The prawn were cooked beautifully though, not too soft and not too rubbery as well, so I figured the prawn must be fresh.

(Beef Gratin - Rp. 88.000,-)

I did not try to taste the beef, because it seems to be the part that I hate (the gooey part of the meat, I don't really know what it's called, maybe the fatty part?). However, I could say the potato gratin and the sauce is very delicious.

(Spicy Tomato Crab - Rp. 58.000,-)

Their Spicy Tomato Crab taste delightful as well. It's crunchy and the sauce is sweet and sour, with enough amount of spice. Fits well with their warm steamed rice. (Seriously though, I think it's quite hard to get a good cooked rice here in Surabaya, and theirs is one of the best)

(Garlic Parsley Chicken Breast - Rp. 82.000,-)

As for the Garlic Parsley Chicken Breast, the sauce and spices tastes very good, the mushroom and veggie are cooked beautifully, and the chicken breast is very tender.

(Coconut Cookies Shake - Rp. 27.500,-)

At first, we ordered ice tea, ice peach tea, and ice lemon tea for our beverages. (Those are very good and tastes fresh as well, but the ice peach tea is a little bit too sweet for my taste) Later on, the waitress offered us little cups to taste one of their beverage, which is this Coconut Cookies Shake. It tastes A-MA-ZING! I never thought that combining coconut water and cookies and cream could taste that good. It's fresh, and creamy, and just enough sweetness at the same time. Definitely a must try and must order.

Overall, it was a super pleasant lunch. Comfortable place and ambience, good service, and tasty menu. I went home with a heavy tummy, light heart, and happy smile.
