God,
Remind me not to rely or depend on people, because they might fail to understand me at times.
Teach me to be content with myself, because people might assume the worst out of me.
Support me not to give up, because life is hard sometimes and I can't do it alone.
Remind me to be humble, because arrogance might hurt people around me.
Teach me to be positive, because sometimes people are not as bad as I thought they are.
Support me to believe in myself, because people often judge based on the result and not the process.
Remind me that I can also be wrong sometimes, so I can learn to be patient.
Teach me to say good words, because words can affect how someone will become.
Support me to accept people as they are, because there are people who just needs to be accepted.
Most of all,
Remind me to rely on You and You only.
Teach me to become more like You.
Support me to forever believe in You.

Last weekend, I went to Bromo with my family. We went there on Saturday night, and arrived on Sunday at dawn. It was very cold when we arrived, I have already worn 3 layers of clothing and yet still shivers from the cold. If you forgot to bring beanie or gloves, there are actually a lot of people who sell it there. You can also buy masks to protect you from the dust or the sulphuric gases, just in case.
We directly met with the jeep driver as we have booked earlier, and went to Bukit King Kong (which is one of the sunrise view points there). It was still 2 a.m. and we have to wait for the sunrise, but because we arrived earlier, we were able to get the spot in front while other people queue in the back. The drawback though, is that we have to wait for a long time in the midst of a cold temperature. The sky above was amazing, there are an enormous number of stars that we can see, and I even saw a falling star once. Too bad I couldn't take pictures because I didn't bring my SLR :(

The sky had started to spark a little crimson on 5 a.m, and it was MUCH better in real life compared to the picture. The color combination was breathtaking, I really felt like painting it directly on a canvas. All the long waiting time and surviving the cold was worth it.
From Bukit King Kong, you can also see the mountain area and it was so beautiful. It feels like the mountain were actually close to us, combined with the beautiful sky and the mist around the mountain.
The sun had finally risen high and bright, and it was around 6 a.m. After taking a few pictures around, we walk back to where our jeep parked to go to the next spot, which is where we were supposed to see the Bromo's crater.
On our way back to our jeep, I saw a teal-colored jeep, which is my favorite colour. I just couldn't resist taking a picture. #RideGoal
After a long way down, we arrived and book a horse as a way of transportation to the bottom of the stairs to the crater. As we arrived on the spot where the horse were supposed to stop, we can walk around and take pictures in front of the mountain.
There were also a lot of people who sell Edelweiss flowers or the so called 'Eternity Flowers'. Some sell it in a form of a bouquet, and some are shaped into a doll. As we reach the bottom of the stairs, we then climbed our way up through around 200 steps. Don't worry if you're tired, because there are actually 3 spots in between the stairs for people to take a rest and took a picture.
The crater was huge and we were so high above that it is quite scary. It is bordered with a fence, but you are advised to be careful and not to lean on the fence. On our way back down, I snap a few pictures from the rest area.
After riding back on the horse to go back to our jeep, we then drive to the next spot which is Bukit Teletubbies. I think it was called that way because it actually resembles the hills on the child show Teletubbies. As it was quite a dry season, the plants around is easily burnt and you are advised not to smoke or light a fire.
For me, the hills around is very beautiful and it is kinda unbelievable that Indonesia have this kind of place. It felt like we were somewhere out of the country, since the scenery around was so magnificent.
We then arrived on Bukit Teletubbies. My driver actually showed us the real one, and told us that some driver might bring you to another similar spot which is much less beautiful, but closer from the crater, in order for them to save up on their fuel. They only did this to people who came there for the first time, so I suggest you directly asked for the real Bukit Teletubbies if you are going to travel there.
We went pass the fake Bukit Teletubbies, and it pretty much was one big hill and it was very crowded with people. The original one was far better. It is a huge spot for you to walk around, and surrounded by green and huge hills all around. It was around 8 a.m. and it's getting warmer, so I put my jacket off and only left with 2 layers of clothing.
(The squad minus Papa who chose to slept in the car)
Our last spot after Bukit Teletubbies is a place called Pasir Berbisik (Whispering Sands). It was called that way because sometimes when there are winds that breeze through, it sounded like the sands are whispering.
Aside from the desert, there are also a few rocks there for people to sit around and take pictures with.
It was 10 a.m. and after taking a few pictures around, we got back to the jeep and drive back to the car parking lot. We then change to a shirt or sandal, as it is hot already. Afterwards, we drive back to Surabaya, and that was my weekend getaway :)
I hope you enjoy this post and I hope that this can help people who are planning to visit Bromo. I think that it is recommended for people who actually enjoy travelling around or adventurer who likes to see the nature. Do ask me if you need any further information regarding the trip and I would help as best as I can :)

In this post, I wanna try to style an aisle-worthy dress, to become a summer swoon-worthy :) You can use it for a date, or maybe for hangouts with friends, or maybe for travelling around with your family!
So I picked one favorite dress from Weddington Way Bridesmaid Dresses Collection, and it is actually this Weddington Way Sophia in Mint To Be color
So I picked one favorite dress from Weddington Way Bridesmaid Dresses Collection, and it is actually this Weddington Way Sophia in Mint To Be color
As you probably know, I really love mint green and pastel colors, but that is not the only reason. As described in the website, (and I do agree) it is classic, chic and utterly fabulous. This dress has also been featured in Martha Stewart Weddings Fall 2014 Issue. It features halter neckline, full skirt (with tulle lining) and pockets :)
So to style it into a summer date outfit, I think it would be nice to pair it with these:
Jewellery
Margaret Elizabeth Teardrop Earrings - Aqua Chalcedony Color
Shoes
Report Lizz Braided Flat Sandal
or
Steve Madden 'Prestine' Wedge Sandal
Bags
Givenchy Medium Smooth Antigona Tote
or
Accessorize Patent Boxy Metal Bar Clutch Bag
Make Up
Urban Decay 'Naked Basics' Palette
Watch
Olivia Burton 'Wonderland' Watch
Left: Dusty Pink and Rose Gold
Right: Mint and Silver
I think that mint colour really matches well with brown-nude colors or some touch of pink and gold like rose gold. It kinda softens the brightness of the mint colour itself, and creates a classy sophisticated look. I created the outfits to be optional, whether it is for a lunch date or a more formal evening night-out. So that's all and I hope this inspires you on styling your outfits :)

Some part of the world are currently heartbroken, following the news of Zayn Malik & Perrie Edwards cancelled engagement. I am not a huge-super-fans of One Direction, nor am I for Little Mix, but this makes me realized that nothing will ever guarantee a happily ever after. It has been stated that they have dated for 4 years, and engaged for 2 years, which kinda get me shocked as well, how can someone have a partner, someone they really care about for so long, and all of a sudden trying to survive life alone? It may sounds exaggerated, but having someone around you for years and suddenly lost them surely is not an easy thing.
It just seems that on and on, the value of a relationship and a commitment has started to fade. A fellow friend of mine has to survive struggling losing a loved one, after the boyfriend decided to cut all connection without a reason. My young brother's close friend also experiences breakup and heartaches, which triggers him to ask me a question, why people broke up when they already decide to be together? Why all of a sudden?
Seeing couples that have been with each other for so long, but ended up being strangers, sometimes also got my faith shaken. At one point they were so in love with each other, doing all the sweetest things, and were once a "relationship goal", and all of a sudden everything changes. I often got scared of the possibility of experiencing heartbreaks, because real life is not as good as fairytales.
There is this story of an old couple, who were asked how to manage their relationship for a long time. They answered that it is because they were raised with the knowledge, that if something is broken, you should try to fix it instead of throwing it away. If a light bulb is no longer working, you should change the bulb instead of moving to another house. But is it possible to be applied to a relationship? To try your best to cope with a person? Or if it is your destiny and if you're not meant to be then it will not work anyway?

"We often hurt the joy of life by saying "the grass is greener on the other side". But green comes in many shade, to accommodate each of our likings and suitability. So be comfortable with our choice of shade, as dark green is not always better than lime green."
We often scroll through Instagram posts of people that we follow, or seeing other people's life through explore, and their life seems so perfect and happier. Some people travels around and get paid, some are skinnier and more beautiful, some people own something that we probably never own, and the list is just endless. Often times we thought that life is unfair, that they have a better life compared to us. But who are we to judge? Sometimes, life is not as beautiful as it seems. People just choose some part of their life that they want to show you. We thought that our life is better, if we experienced or have something that other people own. But we never know, and it doesn't always work that way. Maybe, their life are just not suitable for us. Nothing is perfect and like an iceberg, there's a deeper part that is unseen. If we are placed on other people's shoes, we might just not be satisfied and crave for our own life back. Or maybe, some people actually wish to have a life like the one that we already own now. Maybe the grass is greener because they pay more money to took care of the garden. Who knows? Seeing the other side is okay, but it isn't always better.
The key, is to stop comparing our own life with other people's lives. Be grateful. Be comfortable. Maybe try to make our life better in our own way. Live life to the fullest. Try to look at things that happen in our life with various perspectives. Try to see the bigger picture. In the end, it will makes sense.
